#25268 Director of Security - Director of Loss Prevention

Job Description: Major National Hotel company is seeking a Director of Security and Loss Prevention to manage and oversee a department of 20. The idea candidate must possess a working knowledge of all hotel positions and have experience directly overseeing Security departments, as well as a thorough knowledge of Loss and accident prevention.  

Experience in a Hotel Security operation as a Director of Security and/or Loss Prevention at a 500 room property or larger for a minimum of 3 years is necessary to be considered for this position.

The Director on occasion will perform diverse services which may be complex and often confidential. Must have thorough knowledge of the hotels's policies and procedures. Overall responsibilities include protecting the hotel , it's assets, guests and employees. To assist all departments at all times, make frequent patrols of the buildings and grounds, write reports, maintain first aid equipment , help prevent accidents by inspecting for safety hazards, and monitor the security camera system. Most importantly to run and operate an efficient and effective Security & Loss Prevention department within the hotels budgeted goals. 

The Director of Security/Loss Prevention must maintain good communications with all law enforcement agencies.  Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure, working knowledge of computers and a superior understanding of all hotel emergency procedures.
